Handy Hints - Tubular , Tubular Aluminium /Resin Weave
Made either from steel (zinc plated or plastic coated) or from aluminium alloy.
Aluminium alloy frames have the advantage of being light, and are used extensively for camping furniture particularly for camping sets.
Furniture made from steel tube, folding or for stacking, is often coated in white,although colours can be used, depending on the fashion of the moment.
More recently there is a combination of aluminium frame with a resin weave ( i.e. plastic). The resin weave is often very similar in appearance to rattan. Some rattan furniture is coated with a resin product to make it more hardy for outside.
Some newer products have an aluminium frame and 100% resin weave which gives low maintenance and durability for outside use. Cushions should normally be removed if the furniture is to be left outside particularly during the winter.
